Hello.
I am currently using the FREE version of Desktop Server by serverpress.com which only allows a maximum of 3 WordPress installations at one time. Their client is really easy to instal, you just click, and 2 minutes later, you're setting up WordPress in xampp lite. However, they charge $99 a year for a license to go unlimited! That is way off my budget. I'm using it for personal hobby web sites, not business.
I'm running Desktop Server for WordPress development in a Dell D600 and also in an IBM Lenovo T42, both with Windows XP Pro SP3, and I won't be upgrading at "End of Life".
I understand Microsoft has some kind of FREE software for running WordPress development installations on the desktop, which is NOT limited, i.e., to just 3 installations.
Could you please point me to the LINKS to download that particular setup software, anything else necessary to run it, and to pages that explain in easy English how to instal and use it. If there are videos showing how to instal and use it, all the better.
