Is the icon overlay limit in Windows 8 still just 15?

Does anyone know the maximum number of icon overlays in Windows 8? All I can find with an internet search is this: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsdeveloperpreviewgeneral/thread/fc93ad37-c63b-4d13-b514-9878ec886f7d/, which says that MS is thinking about it.
