Is SYSLINUX distro and/or architecture dependent?

I'm running an older server with SLES 10 SP1 on an Intel IA64 Itanium architecture. I need to install syslinux for the use of mondo on the server. I'm having trouble finding syslinux for SLES 10 on IA64 platform. Is syslinux distro/architecture dependent? I see a listing at the following link of various syslinux versions, but none of them specify distro or architecture:

kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/boot/syslinux/

When I do an rpm search at the following link, there are specifications for various versions of SuSE and OpenSuSE, but searching syslinux for SuSE 10.X yields no results:

rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/2/simple/2

Can anyone shed some light on this for me and point me in the right direction. I appreciate the help! Sorry, I'm restricted from posting hyperlinks until my post count increases.
