? is it possible to add icon in "SHELL32.dll"

hello friends,

we can imort icon from shell32 in regedit
eg:
"%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll,-50"

QUE 1> CAN we make file { Icon.dll } that will contain set of icons
like in SHELL32.dll

QUE 2> CAN we inject/replace some icon in SHELL32.dll

Yes u can there are a lot of 3rd party themes and icon pacakages that do the
same to make xp get a face lift use resource hacker to do so just remember
shell32.dll is not just a icon library always have a backup before u change
anything.

Umesh,

It would be using another shell rather than injecting an icon into Shell32.DLL,
which is a static library. You would need to re-compile Shell32.dll to add
additional resources to it

The user can of course shearch Google for New Skins etc
