The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus go on sale Friday, September 19 in the U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the U.K. starting 8am local time at Apple Retail Stores and many carrier stores. And yes, that means people in Asia and Australia are already getting down to business. And the lineups are already getting long!
The early lines and long lines are probably a reflection of the demand for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. They've got new designs and new, larger screen sizes, along with other new technologies like Apple Pay, which debuts in October in the U.S. People always want new iPhones, but a lot of people want these new iPhones. So what's going to happen?
Different stores and different shopping centers will handle things differently. Some will let you wait inside, others keep you outside. Some will let you wait in your cars, others will want the lots cleared. Some stores will have a separate line for people who reserved for pickup and have appointments, others won't be so organized. Carrier systems will, of course, go down. But, most of all, there will be new iPhones to be had!
If you're waiting in line and want to wait with your fellow iMore readers, head on into our forums and enjoy!
If you take pictures in line, drop them in the forums thread, or post them to Twitter with @iMore in the tweet and we'll find them and retweet the coolest ones.
If you're still not sure which iPhone you want, check out our iPhone 6 buyers guide. It's got a ton of information to help you choose the perfect color, capacity, carrier, and model for you.
So, let us know how it's going, how you're doing in line, when you get your tickets and your coffee, and of course, which iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus you're in line for, and when you get it!
Because this is it. Go time!
