New iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus owners are reporting support for Verizon's new VoLTE network. A few weeks ago we learned that Verizon would finally launch VoLTE in the near future. Earlier this week Verizon confirmed that select smartphones could start taking advantage of Advance Calling 1.0, which is their first-generation service suite on VoLTE.

Head to the Advanced Calling 1.0 site and you'll see the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus listed as compatible smartphones to support the new feature. Advanced Calling 1.0 allows for high-definition voice and video calling. Learn more about Advanced Calling 1.0 at Verizon's website.

HD voice and video calling will work when both people are using a VoLTE-enabled smartphone from Verizon (including the new iPhones).

Rocking a new iPhone 6 on Verizon? Let us know if you've tried out the feature yet. Some forums members over at MacRumors are reporting that feature is working fine on their new phones.
