Hello
I see this in program x 86 and it has content. I have tried all the uninstallers but cannot remove it.
It is not in programs and feateures. Is thee a way to do this w/o going to the registry?
If I rename the folder like Iobit2 and wait a week to see if there is any issue could I then remove it w/o affeting another program?
TY

Sounds like an orphan entry.
Have you tried the simplest way?
Boot into safe mode and then go to the folder.... right click on it and select Delete from the context menu.
I know a lot of people use Revo and other uninstallers.... but I've never had to use one.

If you use Revo to uninstall you'll want to make sure you install it fully again, and then use Revo to uninstall it. E.G if it doesn't see the actual program as installed there is nothing to uninstall. If you don't want to go that route you can also use Ccleaner and when It scans your registry (BE CAREFUL HERE) just make sure that all you are deleting would be the likely orphaned registry entries/DLL's that Starbuck is talking about and nothing more.

I performed a restore point and the entries are OK except for IObit.
I renamed it Iobit2 and in about 10 days if there are no issues, will remove the folder.
I have not bought any 3rd party software as social security does not allow for fringe benefits but I thank you for the offer. i think it is the best out there and would love to have it.
I know renaming will not clear the registry much but at least the folder will be gone.
