Dell xps 400 win. xp professional. bought jan. 07

Starting today i have been getting pop-ups that say "internet speed monitor"
at the top. I have ran windows online remover, Symantac, Lavasoft Ad-aware,
and Windows Defender. None of them recognize it. When i run one of those
removers I get a error that says...

Server busy
This action can not be completed because the other program is busy. Choose
switch to to activate the busy program and correct the problem.

I tried to restore and it will only give me one restore point that says, "
Last known good configuration". I ran it and it fails.

On startup I get this message....
Flies that are requred by windows to run properly have been replaced by
unrecognized versions. To maintain stability windows must restore the
original versions. Insert Windows xp professional service pack 2"

I openened my cd case that came with the computer and found out that i did
not get it when they sent it .

I am lost. does anyone have any suggestions before i take it to the shop?

thanks
