I have a windows xp computer on a wireless network. I have had this setup
for a couple of years now. Last night I opened internet explorer and it
would not load any pages. I went through unplugging the router and cable
modem and plugging them back in. I still had no connection to the internet.
I opened the router configuration page in internet explorer and confirmed
that I had the correct settings from the cable company. I even released and
renewed the ip addresses. Everything looks like it should be working fine,
but internet explorer 7 and firefox 2 will not load any pages.
I am currently on another computer with the same configuration which is
obviously working fine. The only thing I can think of is windows update
might have installed something that is causing a conflict, but I don't know
what or whereto look.
