Automatic update recently installed a new version IE7.0.5730.11 on my two
computers. On one it works fine. On the other, it looks completely different,
it won't recognize tabbed browsing, it doesn't respond to mouse commands in
search results, it opens some sites correctly but not others and often
doesn't respond to mouse commands in those sites, it won't import my
favorites from file, and other problems. I thought I would just uninstall and
reinstall it, but it doesn't appear in the Add/Remove Programs, even when I
check to show all files and updates. When I ran a search for files and
folders, I only get IE6 listed, but then can't actually find it any where
else. Can someone help me straighten out this mess. Thanks.

Open Add/Remove, and note the "Show Updates" checkbox at the top. This will
allow uninstall of IE 7.

Thanks for the answer, but IE7 doesn't show there. After going to another
recommended site, I did find the uninstall directory listed at
c:/windows/ie7/spunist, but don't know what to do with it now that I've found
it.

Open a run command and type in:
%windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe click [OK] and elect to uninstall, then
reboot and you will find IE6.
