CF812: The iOS Awakening: How Touch ID, iBeacon, Siri and Sensors Will Make Mobile Truly Brilliant

Thursday, March 27, 2014, 3:00pm PT

With Touch ID, our Home buttons know who we are. With Siri, our microphones can understand what we want. With iBeacon, Bluetooth can tell us what we need to know. With the M7 coprocessor, our iPhone can figure out how we’re moving. In the future, iSight might even know our face. It’s a slow process, partially because we’re pushing the limits of technology, but also because we’re pushing the limits of comfort as well. But right now, all around us, our technology is becoming aware. If Apple has had one single, relentless purpose over the years, however, it’s been to make technology ever more personal, ever more accessible, and so very much more human. The contextual awakening is what’s coming next.

CF835: Essential iCloud: What You Need to Know

Friday, March 28, 2014, 1pm PT

iCloud is the biggest thing since iTunes. And like iTunes, iCloud does many different jobs. It handles your email, calendar, and contacts. It backs up and restores your devices and settings. It stores and streams your music, movies, apps, games, and more. It saves and syncs your documents and files. It’ll even manage your passwords and let you collaborate online. And iCloud will do all of this on the iPhone, the iPad, and the Mac, and a lot of it through the web browser as well. This session covers everything you need to know to get the most out of iCloud on iOS, OS X, and the browser, including setup, security, sharing, and some special tricks.

Come say hello!

If you're at Macworld|iWorld 2014 make sure you come and say hello, we'd love to meet you! And if you haven't decided yet, make sure you get your tickets now! Time is running out!
