I purchased a second hand printer a H/P 1000 desk jet, attempted to connect it to my Gateway HDMI computer,I got it hooked up but when I attempted to print something the computer says printing can not be done because the printer is in error; What exactly does this mean? that the printer is no good and I should get a new one or did I do something wrong connecting it?I am in no way literate with a computer, so I need to be told in simple english what if any thing I can do or just say get a different printer.
