I come to you very tired and beaten down, bought a new PC last year and they had it installed IIS. I only have ONE PC, not a network or server. and consistently have tried everything on the web to uninstall it. Still have the currentcontrolset keys in the registry. I have written 15 forums and feel like a branch in the wind, trying everything, sometimes suggestions get me the blue screen, til I reboot.

There has never been an entry in Add-Remove Programs and under Components, IIS is not checked, but every time I try to do sfc scannow, it errors and prompts me for all the IIS files. Did they start to install and then stop midway? SI have some references to IIS on the machine here and there, but none in the Add-Remove or under Components.

Any help is so appreciated. I have tried 15 diff.reg cleaners and still have the registry files pointing to certmap.ocx,etc.etc.

I have gone into safemode and with admin permissions, deleted system32\inetsrv and it rebuilds itself after reboot.

I..do..not..have ANY rootkit, spyware, malware issues, believe me I have indeed ran so many scans, and I just know you have the answer WITHOUT a recovery console or reinstall issue. It just canNOT be that hard to fix. Thank you ever so much.

**I deeeeeeeply apologize if this is the wrong forum and please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
