Another option:

Go to Start> Accessories

Find "Command Prompt"

Right-click and choose "Run as administrator"

In the command window that opens, type this:

net user administrator /active:yes

then press the Enter key

You should see a message that confirms the command was completed OK.

Close the command prompt window by typing this:

exit

and pressing the Enter key

Next, log out of Windows and you should then see the administrator account

as an option.

AFAIK it works on W7 too.
