I am using windows XP home edition and IE6 . yesterday My computer did the
auto update and I believe 6 or 7 new updates were downloaded . I now seem to
have trouble everytime I try to open IE . My homepage appears but then An
error pop up appears that says An error was encountered and they apologize
and must shut down .send or do not send report . I send the report and try
to open IE again . sometimes it opens and sometimes I need to try several
times before the error message no longer pops up. Anyone else have any
problems.

Please look in Event Viewer and post a copy of the Error Report. Try the
Application log first.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Administrative Tools,
Event Viewer.

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Double click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. This will paste the info from the Event Viewer Error Report
complete with links into the message. Make sure this is the first paste
after exiting from Event Viewer.

Hope this helps.
