IE 7 in Windows Vista won't open links

When I click on a link, I get the window which says "Locate Link Browser."
IE won't take me to the page.
 
Open your Control Panel > Programs > Set Program Access and Defaults
Make sure Internet Explorer is the default browser.

Also in Internet Properties, click on the Advanced tab, then click on the
reset button. That works wonders for me.

Resetting the default browser (Internet Explorer?) using Default Programs should fix the problem in most cases.

If using Firefox as the default, you need to remove the DDE keys in the registry.
