Hi Newbie Here:
OK, I have had the same problem that I have read about in here and many
other places too. Some have answers, but they are not to my operating system
nor brand of Laptop. I bought a Dell XPS M2010 last month and after windows
made the update:
"IDT - Audio - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC"
on my laptop, and now I have NO sound (but I guess I'm not alone). I tried
rolling back the driver in the device manager, no luck. I tried booting my
laptop to the last known good configuration, no luck. I've tried inserting
a couple of CDs that came with my PC, but once they were open, I didn't
understand what was what so I didn't mess with a thing. Has Any body come up
with a solution fro an XPS Dell that is easy for a novice to fix?
PS I HAVE learned from reading these posts to NEVER update drivers from
Windows updates, thanks for teaching me that (it's a hard lesson to learn).
Thanks in advanced!
