One only one user's desktop when we add a shortcut to a URL and try to change
the icon from the IE icon to another, it immediately switches back to the IE
icon. She has administrator rights and we're not having the problem on other
desktops with the same icon change. Appreciate any help.
Thanks

Solution 1 :
1) Open Properties of shortcut and change the icon.
2) Click Apply and close the window.
3) Open the properties of shortcut again then go to General tab.
4) Tick "Read-Only" and click OK

Solution 2 :
1) Right click Desktop and choose Properties
2) Go to Appearance tab and click on Effects button.
3) Uncheck "Use Large icons" and click OK twice.

Solution #2 worked, but the size is very small. Changing back to large icons
switches it back to the IE icon. Also it changed the My Computer icon to the
same icon as this shortcut.

What would cause this OS to behave differently from the others?

Thanks,
Cathy
