I am running windows 7 64 bit home premium. My antivirus is MSE.I have not had problems with updating before. The updates of 10/4/13 were all fine apart from KB 2808735. I get error message 80070026.I have tried going to Microsoft downloads and doing it manually. I have done system restore and downloaded each separately. All the others are fine but not that one. I have run the Fixit which says it has repaired update, but it still does not install. I think
it may be an installation problem as when trying to install, it seems to download and then moves to 'installing' before it says 'failed'?I noticed in reliability monitor that I was also having frequent Firefox.exe failures. So I uninstalled FF and all the bits of it, and tried again, still no good. (I have now reinstalled FF so we will see if at least I may have solved that one!)Advice gratefully received!
