I am having trouble recalling the update history, (in particular the success or failure list of all

I have Win 7 Home Premium, whilst I was looking at update history, I saw many items that failed to update, No when I click on update history they all are lost. How do I get this log back?? (the log that described success or failure) I can easily get
the list of installed updates but not the other one?? Please help
