iOS has a lot of great accessibility options for those with visual impairments and one of the most convenient ones is the speak auto-text feature. Once activated, your iPhone or iPad will speak any auto-corrections or auto-capitalizations to you before they happen. Auto-correct doesn't always get it right and speak auto-text can help you catch errors before you hit the send button!

How to have your iPhone or iPad speak auto-corrections and capitalizations

  1. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap on General.
  3. Tap on Accessibility.
  4. Turn On the option for Speak Auto-text.

That's it! Now whenever your iPhone or iPad tries to correct a word or capitalization, it'll automatically speak the correction so you know about it before hitting the space bar to accept it.
