Another method is to change the "Attributes" value. See:

There are two methods, both involving the registry.
Here is one method that you can use:
1. Click Start, Run and type REGEDIT.EXE
2. Navigate to the following location:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
|_CLSID
|__{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
3. From the File menu, choose Export and save the branch to a .REG file. (This .REG is your backup.)
4. Double-click the value named "LocalizedString" and set its data accordingly.
(For example, set its data as "Trash" if you want to change the Recycle Bin icon text to "Trash")
5. Exit the Registry Editor.
6. Press {F5} key on the keyboard to refresh the desktop icons.
