I am trying to download the file Windows XP setup boot disks and the
instructions say there will be a prompt to insert a floppy and there isn't
one. So, I went ahead and downloaded the file thinking that when it
completed downloading, it would ask for it then. It still did not ask where
I wanted it to go. I ended up going into A: drive and saving the file, in
hopees that it would go ahead and download from there. But...it tells me the
1.4MB floppy isn't large enough. That I need to delete some files. I have
no idea where the file ended up when it downloaded, does anyone have any idea
where I can begin to look? Please help me with this issue as I have been
working on this all day and I am about ready to destroy these computers. lol
Thanks for your attention...But...Please help!!!

LOL...

You need to save the Boot disk program to your desktop... double click on
that... The program to create the disks it contains will prompt you to
insert your floppies as they're needed to create the set of six disks.

Good luck...

These days just about every PC has a CD/DVD drive, hence
there is no need for setup boot diskettes. What do you need
yours for?

The XP boot disks are a mutiple disk set, 6 of them IIRC. You download the
disk creation app (one large file) to your harddrive then run it and insert
each of the empty pre-formatted floppy disks to be written on.
