I have the same issue that recently appeared, after I had inadvertently downloaded something that installed the Trovi malware in my computer. I was able to remove Trovi, however, these sites started automatically opening up in a new tab whenever I'm browsing the internet:
www.big-countries.net
www.how-internet-works.com
www.how-internet-works.net
www.the-top-sport.com
www.biggest-sites.pl
All of the sites have similar appearance as the screenshot posted above, but different content. At the base of each site, it states (example from biggest-site):

I've tried to find out what EVP is but haven't been able to get a good answer.
I've run ALL of the above mentioned malware software and none of them have detected anything.
I've followed instructions from these sites as well:

http://www.precisesecurity.com/popup/remove-howinternetworks-co-uk-redirect
http://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-browser-redirect-virus/
These pop up pages are more annoying than anything - HELP!
