Hello

When I 'm executing this command "mstsc /v:mytsserver" it opens a connection
to my terminalserver on which the logon window appears. Now if I don't log
in, the logon windows close automatically after 30 seconds.

I would like to configure the terminalserver that he not close the
connection. He should stay with the logon screen until I give my credentials
to log in? I searched for "extending logon timeout" or equal but couldn't
find such a setting. The server is a 2008 Std. Server.

Thanks for your help.

Regards
Patrick

I don't think it's possible.
The logon dialog box disappears automatically after a fixed number
of seconds. You cannot change this, other than by replacing the
GINA on the Terminal Server.

Hello Vera

Thanks for your answer. It's a pity that it's not possible. We are trying to
set up Linux thin clients with the X-Server on "Ctrl Alt F7" and a Windows
Terminal Server on "Ctrl Alt F8" using rdesktop to connect to the Terminal
server.
The goal is to boot the thin client from PXE an then the user can choose to
log on to a Linux or Windows Terminal Server choosing "Ctrl Alt F7" or" F8".
But this doesn't work if the connection to the Windows Terminal Server
closes after 30 seconds.
Now I'm looking for an other solution but don't know how I can achieve this.
