Hi

I have a massive data directory split into quite a few subfolders organised
very specifically. I would like to prevent the users from changing or
deleting the folders and folder structure but still be able to edit and
delete the contents of the folders.

Is there a way to do this. I have fiddled with permissions till I am blue in
the face.

Thanks
Simon

When in the NTFS permissions dialog, if you click on Advanced
you will note that for any of the listed grants once highlighted one
is able to select in the dropbox at the top what the grant applies to.
You sound like you want to be setting permissions for files only
separately from those for folders.
