Personaly on a daily basis I use Windows XP Pro, Windows 2000 Server, Windows 98/SE, and Windows NT. I have used Linux (Red Hat) a few times and a Mac once or twice.
I use either a WinXP Pro or Win98SE machine depending where I am for the day, though I'm trying to get Linux up and running (making it hard by using the Core Linux distro, which comes with absolutely nothing preinstalled (not even a dhcp client!))
I normally use 2k cos im not too keen on xp (seems like an operating system designed around clippy from office). I will be installing linux when I get home as a dual boot cos were always asked to program for it. We are learning distributed systems next year so I think a decent knowledge of unix would be preferable but linux should do the job. More to the point, i want to start making some opensource apps for linux cos i do like the idea of free software.
At home, we use XP Home. Using a consistent OS across multiple workstations makes it easier for me, across my home network, to keep everyone's systems up to date with the latest updates and virus definitions.
