What do I have to do to rename "Automatic Updates"? This is cited as a partial solution to Error 0 X 80248011. I cannot install Windows Updates. I can find Automatic Updates but do not know how to rename it. It asks to rename it C:WindowsSoftwareDistribution
but I cannot. I have used Microsoft Fix It and tried a lot of other offered solutions but none are successful. Maybe this renaming is the answer. I am running XP Media Center and have Service Pack 3. I have started the Background Intelligence Transfer Service,
have installed Windows Update Agent in an endeavour to sort this dilemma, also cleared theInternet Explorer Cache. I cannot reinstall XP as I do not have the disc. It was installed by the people who sold me the computer and I was not given the disc.
