how can I delete Scorpion folder and files from my computer?

I download a product however the scorpion program snuck by me and is popping up ads everywhere. I tried all the various options to get rid of it but nothing worked. It isn't even listed in my files. When I do a search it doesn't show up even though I know it's causing unbearable pop up ads whenever I access any website. I consulted the net to find programs to delete it but none worked. Does anyone know a sure fire way to get rid of this damn file so I don't have to put up with all these ad popups?
