High CPU Usage

Process svchost.exe ID: 836 RpcSs imtermitentaly starts taking high CPU
usage resulting in high temperature warning. Please help. TIA

Intel 945GLC mobo, Core 2 Duo 2.8GHz processor, 1GB RAM. Latest drivers
updated.
--------- OS
Win XP Pro SP2 with all updates. 256kbps cable connection. Symantec
anti-virus v.10. Comodo Pro Firewall.
 
High Temp warnings when hi CPU load is not a normal situation......I would
suggest you open your case and start by cleaning out the dust with a can of
compressed air.Then have a look in your BIOS to see what Temp that alarm is
set for...70celsius should be fine.
get back to us after you do this and test

Thanks Peter

Its a new system and problem starts when Remote Procedure Call (RPC) process
starts consuming lot of CPU Power. Normally it happens once in 8-10 hours
usage. I think the problem may be associated with network and recently
acquired cable connection. I may have posted to wrong NG.
