Has anybody had the subject taking all their CPU time recently.
I know some reports are quite old, but in November it cropped up with
Service 2003
My computer suddenly became very active whilst the desktop was showing - I
was deciding which antispy to scan with tonight.
When I got into Task Manager I found HelpSvc.exe running at 65% - 70% along
with something else, which I didnt have time to make a note of.
A Google shows that others have noticed this happen.
It is connected with the Help and Support and was supposed to have been
fixed?????
In addition, a resolution to this is to download SP2 - I have SP2 and so do
all those who are experiencing this - from what I have read so far.
I shall wait and see if this becomes a regular and annoying problem - then
try some of the suggested solutions.
Though most seem to offer the removal via Reg Cleaning or
antimalware/antispyware downloads Has MS found another backdoor method
of getting into the computer?????????
Some have tried to remove it from Task Manager but they cannot.
In my case it disappeared of its own accord when the system returned to 99%
idle and is not in the list of processes?
And I have just seen Donna B's warning of what is in this Black Tuesday
offerings. I shall sleep well tonight :-(
