help with f1 error message

dear all;
when i open my windows xp there is a message appear ask me to backup
my works, then i must press f1 to open windows, please anyone can help
me to remove this message when starting windows xp. thx
 
Hi Ahmad,

That sounds to me like an error being reported by S.M.A.R.T.
(Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology), which is a BIOS
function not an error generated by the operating system. When you see that
error at startup, does it mention SMART within the error message? If so,
then your hard drive may be failing. You could either:

1) Run a diagnostic provided by the hard drive manufacturer to see if it
detects imminent failure and, if so, purchase and install a new hard drive
ASAP, while you still might be able to retrieve important data.
2) Don't bother with the diagnostic and simply purchase and install a new
hard drive ASAP, while you still might be able to retrieve important data.
3) Turn off SMART monitoring in the BIOS Setup and take your chances with
the hard drive.
