Hello

I am trying to install a 90 day trail of Windows 2008 server. I have tried to download a few copies of the 32 bit disk from Microsoft website after reading a few posts on other forms in regard to this issue.

I am installing Windows 2008 on a Dell optiplex GX520. It has had both Windows 2003 and Windows 7 Ent installed on it with out any issues. I get the error message "No drives were found. Click Load driver to provide a mass storage drive" when it displays the available hard disks to install Windows 2008. I have tried downloading some drivers for the hard disk and using the dell download options but I am not a 100% sure on what drivers I should download and put on CD and then I guess I use the use driver option

the Hard drisk that i am using is a hct721016SLA380 160
could anyone please point me in the right direction to sort this issue out

thank you

Hi,

Unlucky this problem has been experienced by many people (as you've said).

The only thing I can suggest you is to download the driver for the CONTROLLER (RAID)... otherwise, I have no other solution...

sorry.

Hello

I am using an IDE SATA drive.
I went to Dell Website and downloaded the Chipset and SATA drivers - burned them to CD and tried to use the CD in the install - but it could not find any drivers on the CD (the Hard disk in the PC is not the original HD from Dell)

There's really nothing more you can do... I suggest you to ask directly to the Dell's forum... I had this problem one time and I never found a solution!
