Greetings from a newbie.
On a Dell P3, 500 MHZ, 384MEG, backed up, wiped clean, reinstalled 98, everything ok except, USB ports don't work, thus printer and USB mouse don't work. Looking at control panel, have yellow question mark for:
PCI Mass Storage Controller
I had 3 USB settings,
Generic USB Hub _which had a yellow mark in front, saying it wasn't working.
USB Root Hub
An Intel USB line, presumably related to my USB card.
Being that I had the Intel line set up, I deleted the Generic USB hub.
I don't know if the PCI mass storage controller is related to the USB problem. When I try to print I get and Epson error message saying the USB port is disconnected.
I have reinstalled Chip drivers, i.e. intel drivers for the motherboard. With no success.
Any and all advice would be welcomed...
