Just found a way to bypass the normal wwitv.com process and view the media
stations.
1. Open wwitv.com/portal.htm
2. At the top of the wwitv page, click on "TV Streams", and
Worldwide Television streams. web page will open up.
3. We can watch TV from any country/stations as listed using
Vista operating system or XP operating system.

Do you know of one that is currently working on XP? Or one in particular you *want* to have work? That assures the greatest intersection of my time with things that would help you. =)
The particular link you gave me took me to a bitmap saying the server was offline - "the stream has stopped or is not available at the moment" - on both XP and Vista, and doesn't work at all in WMP6 on my system.
Austin is great. I especially love the bar with sand volleyball courts.

"WWITV has several thousand links. Anything in particular?"
None of those links are playing in Vista
"have HTTP Streaming turned on in their older servers, generally".
For instance, when I go to the station KXAN of Austin,
http://wwitv.com/a1/b2891.asx
I get an error, without any error number specified in Vista.
Did you by any chance played any of those stations in Vista?
Appreciate your comments.

They would need to be serving from Windows Media 9 series servers or have HTTP Streaming turned on in their older servers, generally. But you didn't quite mention how it failed, so that's a minor jump of logic. But I'm hopeful I psychically guessed right.

I am having difficulty in playing web-stations that uses Windows Media Player, in Vista.
I have had no problem playing those media stations in Windows XP using Windows Media Player 10 or 11. Example- stations at wwitv.com are not executable in Vista but can be easily played in XP.
Question - Is there any way I can re-load Windows Media Player 11 on Vista or do I need to change any setups in Internet Explorer? Appreciate any help or advice.
