Hi,

I'm running Vista Home Premium, and I've got a LAN connection through a
router and can browse the internet, get email, download updates and connect
to the windows time server.

But I cannot get Windows Media Center to download the program guide (Code
13, can't connect to the internet), and Help and Support center comes up with
an error that says "You have lost your connection to the Windows Help and
Support website." Really informative.

I don't think it's a proxy server thing, and I've turned off the Windows
firewall with no luck. Media Center is configured for and recognizes the
connection under general settings, but still can't download the Guide. Could
it be the ISP blocking it?

I'm running Trend Micro, so at least I know it's not Norton!

Any help greatly appreciated it's really frustrating not being able to use
the Guide.

Cheers!

if your trend micro is the internet security suite, then it is likely
that trend is blocking you, I remember having the same problem with
XP/Norton a while back before my upgrade, unfortunately i have forgotten
the exact web address you need to check in the firewall setting, but try
the easy way to see if it is Trend disable it. If you connect - go
through your firewall settings .
