Theres something messed up royally with my computer. For about 3 days now everytime I go to turn it on, it gets passed only the first screen.(the one that says 'press delete to enter setup') After that a blank screen appears with a blinking _ in the top left corner. I've now found out that it isn't my hard drive because I took it out and hooked it up in a friends' computer. I'm using it right now actually. I haven't got the slightest clue as to what it is. I use Diskeeper, Ad-aware, Spybot S&D, Zone Alarm, CA AV, and Panda ActivScan very regularly. This is the first serious problem that I've had with my 3-1/2 year old computer. I desperatly need help! Anything will be greatly appreciated.

With Windows 95 and 98 if you got that blinking prompt in the corner of the screen it meant that the boot sector of the drive was corrupt. If you were able to boot to your installed OS by moving the drive to another computer then the boot sector is OK. The problem is, unless you moved the drive to the exact same computer with same hardware, the OS shouldn't load.
