I have recently begun to have problems with my computer with Windows XP Pro
SP2 freezing and failing to shut down. Initially I thought it was my power
supply failing but have now found the source of the problem - my second
SATAII HDD .

I can access the drive, read information, burn DVDs from the files etc in
Safe Mode, but when I boot normally in WinXP the computer starts playing up
and will freeze when trying to access the said drive.

How can I go about fixing this issue? Manufacturer diagnostic software has
determined the drive is free of errors.

Thanks in advance,
Nick
