HDD not visible in disk management

I decided to delete one of the three partitions on a non-system PATA
disk prior to increasing the size of the other two.

Now the complete disk is not visible in 'my computer' or 'disk
management'. It is however visible in the BIOS and device manager
(indicated as working).

It appears to be running and the connection also seems to be OK.

Grateful for any suggestions.

I would guess that you probably deleted the 'primary' partition, and the
'extended' and 'logical' partitions went with it.

Any idea how I make the disk visible again?

No, I don't. Removing a partition destroys the data. I suppose there are
people who will do data recovery for money, but I know of no 'undo partition
removal' app.
