Hi I never know where to post these threads. I guess they can be moved if there's a better place.
I'm a clean up freak. I just don't like trash on my PC.
Have you ever had documents in word pad that weren't there any more but still showed up there.
Here's a easy way to get rid of them! Hope this works for you!! You can delete it after using it if you want. I just leave it and use it again.Works for me!!
To Reset and Clear All "Recent documents" in WordPad with a REG File
1. Click on the Download button below to download the file below.Reset_and_Clear_WordPad_Recent_Documents_List.reg
2. Click on Save, and save the .reg file to the Desktop.
3. Right click on the downloaded .reg file and click on Merge.
4. Click on Run, Yes, Yes, and OK when prompted.
5. If WordPad is open, then close and reopen it to apply.
6. When done, you can delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.
