The GT Advanced saga continues today as it was revealed that the company has asked a U.S. bankruptcy court to keep sealed key documents relating to a third-party. GT Advanced, Apple's sapphire crystal supply source, filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this week, did not disclose the third-party or any information about the specific documents.
In filing with the court today, the company also requested an "in camera" hearing — or a hearing that is not open to the public. The first hearing is scheduled for 10am ET Thursday.
Yesterday, Apple said they were surprised by the filing from GT Advanced, but are working with government officials on their next steps.
