Groupon has just kicked off an app called Snap, whereby you're notified of promoted brands, and if you pick up something of theirs from any store, you can take a picture of the receipt and earn cash back on your account for doing so. After you earn $20, they'll mail you a check. It's an interesting new take on classic couponing that produces the same end result with considerably less clutter. You can also earn cash for recruiting friends to redeem their receipts through the app.

Snap has actually been around for awhile as SnapSaves in Canada, but Groupon bought the developers a few months ago and have since updated the app's name and interface.

Which apps do you guys use for shopping? Do you think Snap's scheme will work better for you than traditional coupons?
