Help! I'm a true novice with computers and need some help & advice from
people that are familiar with Windows XP Home. For nearly a yr., whenever I
go to the Amazon site (I do a lot of shopping with Amazon), after a couple of
minutes of being "on" the site, I get: Windows has encountered a problem &
must shutdown, do you wish to report this problem, then---do you wish to
close this program. I hit yes to these inquiries and then I get: Dr. Watson
Postmortem Debugger #32 has encountered a problem, do you wish to report this
problem do you wish to close. Sometimes the programs will finally close,
sometimes I have to hit the Control, Alt., Delete to get the computer to work
once again. I worked with a Microsoft Advanced Support Tech. last Spring for
about 2 hrs. on the phone but never got the problem resolved. There was Case
ID # assigned to this problem but I have been unable to locate my case # &
now Microsoft wants to charge me for any Tech. Assistance. Can any of you
shed light on this problem & what I might do to correct it? Amazon is the
ONLY site I encounter this problem. It's got to the point that I can't buy
anything from Amazon as the site crashes before I have time to place an
order. Is there a way to "find" the Microsoft Case # that was originaly
assigned to me? I appreciate any help or advice you can provide. Thanx!

Unfortunately, as of the last time I spoke with a Microsoft Support
Representative (admittedly 2003), they said that all cases expire
after 6 months. If this case has been inactive for at least 6 months,
your case number is unusable -- even if you find it -- and you must
pay for the support.

As for the actual problem, what browser are you using? Have you
attempted to use a different browser, for example, Firefox?
