Here is a new entry from Gigabyte using the budget oriented AMD 970 chipset. It appears to compete with the very successful MSI 970 gaming motherboard with it's red racer oriented theme.

This would probably be a great solution for an FX 8370/8350/8320, all of which are also coming down in prices recently in the face of Intel's successful Skylake offerings. I have not built with this Gigabyte board but I have built with a few of the MSI 970 gaming boards and this Gigabyte offering should be similar and the MSI board took an FX 8350 just fine even with a small overclock, though I would limit and overclocking on any AMD 970 board and leave that to the AMD 990FX chipsets and just run the processor at stock values on this board. Still though, a nice offering with upgraded Realtek ALC 1150 instead of the older boards with ALC 892 that should negate the need for a separate sound card for most gamers and music listeners.
