What kind of feedback on Microsoft 365 Copilot did you hear from your community members since it was announced in March 2023?
The desire and demand is there. I’ve seen a massive appetite to learn more and understand how it can work for them. The desire I’ve seen has been outside of the dev field and more aligned with how people can improve their work/life and accuracy with Microsoft Copilot rather than simply writing code and validating it on GitHub or other platforms. Most of the people with whom I work don’t dev day to day, so it doesn’t have as much impact (immediately) to my circle of impact.
There are many people who still imagine that AI technology is for developers. How do you encourage non-technical users (example: general office workers) to start using AI such as Microsoft 365 Copilot?
I think Copilot is far more than that. Copilot allows us to work more intelligently, which is brilliant for me as I’ve got a horrible memory. We can intelligently recap for meetings and ask Copilot what I’ve missed or what information is required to provide actions allocated to me while trying my best to multi-task, which I’ve agreed to, when in reality I need to pace myself. I can let Copilot help pace me in this instance; in addition, it can then streamline the work I’m doing by helping me create collateral faster, either through Microsoft Word or PowerPoint in pulling together the information I may or may not already have within my enterprise network and allowing it to build and bolster the output in which I’m creating.
