I have an sbs 2011 domain and a windows server 2008 domain that needs to share folders. I cannot do a trust between these two so I have set up a shared folder on the 2008 domain and have created duplicate accounts from the 2011 sbs on the 2008 domain, assigned group rights throughout and is working fine. Issue is is that i'd like to get notified when a password changes on the sbs domain so that i can be ahead of the game on changing the duplicate account on the 2008 domain(relying on the users to tell me will not work). Is there a method to get notified that an account password on the sbs domain is about to expire. Or get notified after it has changed?
