I know Widcomm (Broadcom) software utilizes a licensing scheme in it's
software. In other words the software checks the bluetooth adapter to
see if it's licensed!

If Bluesoleil no longer supports W2K (or you can't find older versions
which do), you may need to change your dongle. Check this out: http://www.filesaveas.com/belkinusb.html
