I've installed Point LInux 3.0 beta1 which is based on Debian Testing and Gdebi doesn't work. When I click on a .deb package to install Gdebi will flash by then now open the package. I'd thought that maybe it was because the .deb packages were from Wheezy but I downloaded a package that I wanted to install from the Jessie pages at Debian and it didn't work either. Any idea why Gdebi wouldn't work under Testing but works like a charm under Stable? Thanks.
