Hello,

How safe is my friend using the Windows XP for her banking whilst she is in a care home? (That could be short term or permanent, unknown as yet.) She has not used the Toshiba laptop for coming up to 6 months. I am not sure if she uses Norton or MacAfee but it is definitely one of those, for computer security or if it is even up to date. She doesall her banking on-line as she has been unable to leave the house for 3 years before her 4 month stint in hospital. The social worker organised for her to 'buy' a MI-Fi dongle from 3G to use to get internet access (the social worker did not know that was what she had bought) so she can pay for her care. It has not been set up yet as no one had heard of a Mi-Fi but I received a lot of help on that from my broadband/phone provider forum so understand that a bit better now. Any security suggestions would be very, very welcome.

The laptop has been kept charged up during her stay in hospital and she used it for about an hour when she came out in April only to be readmitted 7 hours later due to a fall.
