Free PC Help Forum Stance on Paltalk

After sitting back and thinking about this for a few days I have decided that Free PC Help Forum can not nor ever will support any software when you explicitly have to opt out of an installation of any other software that is bundled with it.

I understand that most software products do ask if you want to install other products. They get paid to bundle these products from the company that created the software. I do, however, have a problem when you have to opt-out of the install of these extras by checking/unchecking a box. A novice user could get unwanted software that could cause them problems.

While I will not be taking part in any chat sessions on Paltalk and Free PC Help Forum will not endorse Paltalk, the software, or have its name associated with any chat on Paltalk I have no problems with discussions about it as long as a disclaimer is added to the thread informing users that they should watch the install process and are made aware that other software as well as having their homepage changed are possible when installing the software.

I also have done some research on VOIP chat software and have decided that Free PC Help Forum will endorse TeamSpeak. TeamSpeak client installs only what you need to connect to the server. Yes there is an option for 1 additional software product, but, if you click through without watching the screen you only get the client. No need to opt-out of anything. Also TeamSpeak is ad free.

Free PC Help Forum has a TeamSpeak server set up on our network for use by our users. We have full control over it and don't depend on a third party for the connection. Information on how to connect to the server will be released once we finalize our chat schedule.

As a replacement Free PC Help Forum will hold a weekly chat in our TeamSpeak chatroom. Once the details have been finalized an announcement will be posted.

I approve! I was never a big fan of Paltalk. From the beginning it was bundled with PUP's. I hate PUP s.
I uninstalled Paltalk with Wise uninstaller. Here's some facts why your PC may get bogged down if you install and uninstall a lot software. The first two screen shots are what Paltalk installs on your PC. The next screen shots are what Wise uninstaller left behind. Not a really big deal, but over time these can build up. Not on my PC. Search Everything and the search feature in Regseeker find the left behinds and deletes them.
PS I only use the search feature of Regseeker, so don't holler at me.

Hi, AWS. This is my first official post, with the exception of my intro (actually making it my second...) That said, from what I've read here I'm pleased "Teamspeak" is being endorsed for it's non-bundling practices.
@donetao, does this mean all the HKEY registries with the name "Paltalk" can be safely removed, or has this already come to pass?

Yes! Always back up your registry before removing any entries there. Paltalk does not reside any where on my PC and that includes the Registry.

PS Are you using Regedit and F3 to remove Paltalk entries?? None are found in my registry. I removed them!

Hi Eric! Wise uninstaller left 40 Paltalk registry entries behind and two files. I deleted the files with Search Everything. You will have to hit F3 40 times in regedit to remove all registry entries left overs. I have a better way, but Free PC Help Forum doesn't approve and I understand why.
If you read my first reply you will see what Wise uninstaller leaves behind. I will email you how to remove left overs in the registry my friend.

@donetao, if we were on a ship together I would not be able to stand idly by while watching you walk the plank.Likewise, as we sail on this cruse ship together, even if the get misconstrued, I hope you won't feel the urge to jump ship, not yet, anyway.
